I did a search of my C drive and it didn't find a update.inf file, so I'm guess for whatever reason my update.inf file is missing. This will make a big difference because SP2 is checking to see if it needs to reapply any of those cached updates. When do you get that issue ? Can't get that to default with Firefox or Opera.  This again brings up the integration problem with the OS. basically forcing people into using IE instead of actually going to the default browser. Cancle this installation process, uninstall your current windows XP Service Pack 3 build then re-install this Service PAck.Any ideads whet I can do? Server is in constant use so having to restore it if it goes wrong will be a major headache. This error comes up when there was a data transfer error.
